ASB is a short form of AMANAH SAHAM BUMIPUTRA. this kind of loan is a long term investment. only 3 bank in malaysia hv this. i am not the expert about investment but so far ASB is one of Malaysian favourite unit trust. if u save/buy more u can get more. the dividend is annual basis.
however if u apply this loan, bank will deposit your money in your account and u just pay monthly same with car loan la kn. i started my career on march and was eager to apply this loan..... but i'm not convincing enough with d economy right now and afraid to take any risk. it is almost 5 months i studied what is consequence in 20yrs later is i apply for loan.
so finally i decide NOT to take any risk because of the following reasons :
1. the bank interest is high, if ecomony is consistently going up ok la..but after a short recession. i don't believe in 'easy money'. in my point of view every 4 yrs or less it will be a recession in malaysia, this is kind of trend (maybe). if we calculate the total amount after 20yr maybe we only get some extra money (profit) or lost a huge amount of money. the bank, they just left u with a huge debt.
2. i asked my friend, they applied the loan n not happy with it. but they recommend 'withdrawal' type of loan. i 'm not sure what is that but we need to have a lot of saving and apply. i just started my career life, no money so just ignore it.
3. calculate the possibility of my end 'income'/profit. den i'll say saving by my own not depend on loan is better.
this is my 2 cent. please advise. peace.
